Sexual Violence : No Contact Orders
If you are being harassed or stalked by another Ohio State student or if you are a victim of sexual violence, our office may put a "No Contact Order" in place.
A "No Contact Order" is a directive that mandates the student is not to contact you in any way, including in person, via e-mail, telephone, text messaging, Facebook or any other method of electronic or direct communication. The order also includes third parties acting on the person's behalf. It warns the student that any contact could be considered a violation of the Code of Student Conduct and that the violation could be grounds for further action under the Code of Student Conduct.
If you are the victim of stalking, sexual harassment, threats, or sexual violence, the order may be put in place automatically by Student Conduct upon the initiation of a complaint in our office, during the course of the investigation, and possibly after the case is over.
If you have concerns for your safety and/or want to discuss a "No Contact Order", please contact our office directly (614-292-0748).
