University Conduct Board
Service on the University Conduct Board
Section 3335-23-16 of the Code of Student Conduct describes the University Conduct Board. In addition to students appointed by Undergraduate Student Goverment, the Council of Graduate Students and the Inter-Professional Council, the Vice President of Student Life, upon recommendation from the Director of Student Conduct, appoints fifteen faculty and/or administrative staff members to serve on the UCB.
A diverse UCB staff provides our students with fair and impartial hearings, promoting Ohio State values of acting with integrity and promoting accountability. UCB members attend training sessions and typically hear three to five cases per semester. Serving offers a perspective on our student’s experiences, challenges and personal stages of development, and many say it allowed them a means to stretch themselves as educators. Faculty and staff interested in serving on the UCB or nominating a colleague to service, should contact the Student Conduct director by phone at (614) 292-0748.
